Job SummaryAssist with the daily operations of the Prepared Foods Department, ensuring a positive customer experience and exceptional team performance.Key Responsibilities

• Team Supervision: Supervise and delegate tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Training and Development: Collaborate with the Prepared Foods Trainer to train Team Members, promoting a high-performance team and minimizing turnover.
• Department Operations: Assist in maintaining a clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated department, adhering to established procedures.
• Customer Service: Ensure excellent customer service, responding promptly to customer needs and questions, and maintaining awareness of customer flows and needs.
• Performance Management: Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members to sustain a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
• Communication: Consistently communicate and model Whole Foods Market vision and goals, fostering a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.Requirements
  • Extensive Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of Prepared Foods team procedures and policies.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Strong demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
  • Advanced Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures.
  • Mathematical Skills: Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated decision-making ability, leadership skills, and ability to prioritize and delegate.Physical Requirements
    • Lifting and Standing: Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day.
    • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, exposed to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
