  • Job Details
  • General job duties include care for med-surg, telemetry, and post-op ortho patients with age ranges from pediatrics to adult and geriatric.
  • Deliver around 40 babies per year; need a nurse familiar and comfortable in Labor and Delivery settings, as well as postpartum.
  • Equipment utilized includes Cerner EHR, Pyxis Medication Dispense System, Mindray vitals and telemetry, Zoll, and Panda warmer.
    • Job Requirements
    • BLS certification required.
    • ACLS certification required.
    • PALS certification required.
    • NRP certification required.
    • Fetal heart monitoring experience required.
    • Minimum of 2 years experience in Med Surg required.
    • Experience in Labor and Delivery required.
      • Schedule Information
      • Night shift; 3 shifts guaranteed per week; each 12 hours.
      • Call not required, but possible if signed up for extra shifts.
      • Typically every 3rd weekend scheduled with flexibility in schedule.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Primary Med Surg with possibility to float to Obstetrics.
        • Nurse to patient ratio typically 3-4 patients per nurse, occasionally 5 patients.
