    • A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for Night ICU RN's. Open Heart Trained.

        • Schedule Information
        • 13 Weeks
        • Every other Weekend/Holiday
        • Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 0630-1830, 1830-0630 // Self scheduling for core staff, travelers added in. Unable to guarantee block scheduling
        • Weekend Requirements: Every other
        • Holiday Requirements: Rotating based on weekend group
        • Floating Requirements: Typically to PCU, possibly to MedSurg
        • How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 3 shifts
          • Unit Specific Information
          • # of Beds: 33 beds
          • Average daily census is 16
          • Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 for adults, 1:2-4 for Peds
          • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, respiratory distress
          • Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes
          • Common titratable &/or set-rate drips: cardiac, insulin, sedation
          • RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.): Nasal cannula to vent
          • Tele/Monitor Techs: RNs required to read and interpret their own strips
            • Additional Details
            • Department: ICU RN
            • # of Beds: 33 beds, average daily census is 16
            • Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 for adults, 1:2-4 for Peds
            • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and Pediatrics, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, respiratory distress
            • Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes
            • Common titratable &/or set-rate drips: Any cardiac drip, insulin, sedation
            • Health Support Tech M-F 0800-1630
            • RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: Nasal cannula to vent
            • Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: RNs required to read and interpret
            • Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
            • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
