  • Job Details
  • Retail Pharmacist at Thayer County Health Services, Hebron, NE. This position provides prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals according to professional standards and practices. The pharmacist is responsible for the preparation and dispensing of all medications, overseeing non-pharmacist personnel, ensuring prescription accuracy and compliance with legal requirements, and maintaining inventory in accordance with state and federal requirements.
    • Job Requirements
    • Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy.
    • Licensed through the successful passage of a licensure exam in accordance with the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.
    • PharmD preferred.
    • Three years of retail experience as a Pharmacist preferred.
    • Good communication skills; both written and verbal.
    • Current Nebraska state license to practice pharmacy.
      • Schedule Information
      • Reports to Director of Pharmacy.
      • Shift: Days.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Provides specialized pharmaceutical services to improve drug usage and therapeutic outcomes.
        • Advises physicians on issues concerning drug therapy, toxicity, side effects, and appropriate doses.
        • Conducts and evaluates medication use reviews, assessing patient compliance and outcomes.
        • Writes guidelines for drug use within the hospital and participates in community committees as requested.
        • Provides monthly consulting to contracted LTC facilities.
